Niagara Falls

The hotel was twenty minutes away from Niagara Falls. To get to Niagara Falls  we wanted to go to the Canadian side.To go to Canada you have to have a visa but unluckily mums friend didn't but we did, so we went to Canada and they went to the American. Niagara Falls is a huge famous waterfall that has a show above it at night with fireworks and lights up. My family and I went on a boat trip to get a better view of the fireworks. It was so amazing!

Philadelphia

At Philadelphia we saw something famous called the Liberty Bell and a museum about it. The Liberty bell was made before world war one. We also saw my auntie’s work place, a hospital.

Florida

We took a plane to Florida and we went to Universal, a fun place just like Disneyland. At Universal there were so many rides, we couldn’t go in all of the rides in three whole days! After three awesome days at universal we had to go to Disneyland and had two more awesome days there. 

The Wedding

During my visit I attended my auntie's wedding which had several functions - gerba, the wedding and reception. For the wedding I was a flower girl with another little girl. It was an Indian wedding in USA and was a lot of fun. I met a lot of my relatives and made new friends.

New York; Having fun!

Statue of Liberty

We got on a ferry that took us to Ellis island, were we went through an imigration museum very quickly, because we had to catch the next boat to the Statue of Liberty. The ride to Liberty island from Ellis island was short and when we saw the Statue of Liberty, I was amazed.

MOMA
We went to MOMA, Museum Of Modern Art, we saw lots of paintings and some sculptures and we saw Van Gogh’s painting that mum had copied. 

M&M Shop
We walked to the m&ms shop and in the shop there was three levels and on the first level there were m&m mugs, blankets, boxes of m&ms, t-shirts and m&m dispensers. After mum finished looking at the t-shirts she took us up stairs and on the second floor, we saw a machine that detects your m&m mood, for example, my m&m mood was orange and orange means scared, in my case, that someone would eat all the peanut m&ms before I could try one! Finally we got to go to the third floor were we got one bag each to fill with m&ms.

Lego shop
When I looked at the huge window outside the shop I saw a massive lego statue, and even its stand was made of lego. Inside the shop there were so many sets of lego that you can't count them. Also, hanging from the ceiling, was a lego dragon! Me and my brother bought five sets of lego in total from the lego shop.

UN Building
 I went to the UN building in New York and took a tour around it and even got to watch a meeting.

Events in New Jersey

We were going to the shopping center, but this time dad was driving. Dad was not really good at driving in America because the steering wheel was on the other side to Australia. The drive was longer than it should have been at the shops. At the shops while my mum was shopping my mum’s friend took us and her son to starbucks and we got cake pops and chocolate. When we got home, while the boys were playing I did a ceremony for good luck for my auntie’s wedding.

The WTC

As we walked to the world trait center we met one of my cousins and she came with us. In 2001 two planes crashed into the twin towers and broke them down. They made one of the places were the buildings crashed the tallest tower in America and the other one a memorial of all the people who died there.

New York ; Surprise destination!

The next day was dad’s birthday but mum was rushing us around and telling us to get dressed . I asked mum where we were going and  when we got to the bus stop she said that we were going to New york . We took a bus to a taxi stop and caught a taxi to a helicopter port and we were all surprised that we were there exept for mum who took us there. It was only dad that went on a helicopter because mum booked it for his birthday and we had to wait for him until he came back.

Ride to New Jersey

Finally, after a fun four days in Washington, we said bye to our friends and went into the train to our aunt’s house in New Jersey. The train ride was two hours.
              

National Gallery of Art

I went to the National Gallery of Art and it was really cool. I saw a lot of paintings and I was amazed at how much detail the artists put into their work. I saw Cezanne, Da Vinci, Monet and I saw some paintings and sculptures about the sea and ships .

Capitol building

National air and space museum

The national air and space museum is part of the smithsonian institute and is super cool. We saw a lot of spaceship models and even went inside one. We saw a show in the planetarium.
                                           

Supreme Court

Me and my friends went to the Supreme Court and we saw where the people from the Court work and we watched a video and I found out that they choose which cases they get to hear every week. There are nine judges which have their offices in the building.

Lincoln Memorial

I went to the Lincoln memorial with all the adults and one of my friends we saw a huge statue of Abraham Lincoln and I got a book about Abraham Lincoln .

Lincoln was the 16th American president . He was the tallest President.   

Washington DC

Our first cool destination was to Washington.We went with our friends. It has so many awesome things to see like monuments, memorials and museums. On fifth July we saw the white house as well as the monuments and memorials.Today, sixth of July we are (finally) going to the planetarium and some other museums.

The long flights

We woke up at two o’clock in the morning and started getting ready for going to America
It took one hour to get to the airport and at seven o’clock the flight took off .The flight to Hong Kong was eight hours. At Hong Kong we were told that our flight was delayed for six hours.when we took off in the second plane I fell asleep strait away. The flight was for fourteen hours . Then my aunt took us to her home in boiling hot  America !

Off to the USA

I am going to America with my family for five weeks and we are going to see a lot of new and exciting places as well as going to a wedding.I hope you enjoy my blog!
